here's an etsy treasury put together by liz worthy showcasing a few ceramicists working with laser printer decals. i use them infrequently (they seem a bit "dead" to me), but find they are useful for some applications. some good examples here.

tea time

i'm such a huge fan of tea, tea accoutrements, tea snacks,  and  even books on tea etiquette. teapots are also my favorite form to make. here's a recently completed pot and a bit of tea humor.

having loads of fun with this. the theme i chose is "it will be fun, i swear." can't wait to see other sketchbooks when the show tours. the exhibit will travel to brooklyn, austin, san francisco, atlanta, portland (maine), chicago, washington dc and winter park (florida). it's not too late to get a blank book. the deadline's been extended to november 15. check it out here.

love & theft

i'm a huge fan of cartoons and comic books from all time periods. they are a large influence on my work. here's an amazing animated tribute to the art form from andreas hykade, obviously another big fan. called love & theft (like the bob dylan album), hykade also quotes dylan in the video's info panel, "and i'm still carrying the gift you gave, it's part of me now, it's been cherished and saved, it'll be with me unto the grave and then unto eternity."
